Super Mario gets a mention in this really interesting video!
It seems that more and more studies are coming out these days that show video games can actually improve areas of your brain such as memory!
Sounds too good to be true right? Well there is certainly something to it but that doesn’t mean you should do nothing but play video games!
A side note for this video, the gamers mentioned that played Mario 64 were actually new to the game. Sadly if the game is no longer a challenge for you (as I suspect may be the case if you are reading this) then the benefits are lost. It’s all about keeping your brain active and having a healthy life balance!
Check out this awesome video and then go and play outside!
Grate Guy’s Casino is a hidden part of the map in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Accessing this area is a bonus feature added to the game to give gamers something to achieve besides the standard storyline. The hidden casino is run by the Jester called Grate Guy and players must acquire a Bright Card from the Knife Guy in order to gain entry to the building.
We all love a themed party and bingo is a great way for everyone to have some fun and frolics! You don’t need to visit bingo sites all the time to enjoy this great game you can make your own bingo cards all by yourself which is great fun.
One of the most common themes for people who are a fan of classic or retro computer games or people of the younger generation is a Super Mario Party! Of course you can get a cake and card no problem in most stores – but how about making your own Super Mario bingo cards? It’s really easy and will be a great addition to a party. Here’s how you can make it:
The times, they are a changing! What the heck happened? Wasn’t it just yesterday that I was busting out Super Mario 6 Golden coins on the Gameboy? Now it seems like every house wife is busy playing some addictive game on their brand new shiny mobile phone.
Hey guys, it’s great to help out people, especially sick kids, so I wanted to help promote a Game-a-thon held by Insomniac gamers this weekend. All the proceeds go to Child’s Play Charity which is an awesome cause! Mario 64 and Super Mario bros 2 are amongst the games that will be played through 😀 Here is a copy of their press release anyway, the rest is up to you! It’s quite fun to watch people play video games anyway…
Wow, it still feels to me as if the Wii U is still some far off new console…I am behind the times, it’s almost been a year now that it has been released!
Lucky for us there are still some awesome new Mario games lined up for the Wii U as demonstrated by Nintendo at this months E3 gamers expo.
Check out new trailer videos for Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario kart 8 and even a new game called Super Luigi U just after the jump!
Queen to bishop 6, check mate! I think that may have been a quote from Bladerunner but let’s focus on the game of chess, more specifically Super Mario Chess! We all know that the game of chess is a good one, but over time the traditional white and black pieces have become stale and boring…how I loathe those boring lifeless pieces…Anyway, where was I…Ah yes, why not spice up your chess playing days with this awesome Super Mario Chess set? With Mario as King and Luigi (suspiciously) as the Queen of one team and Bowser and Koopa Jnr lead the opposing forces you know you are in for a barrel of fun!
For less than $40 you can bring our beloved plumber into your dining room! A word of warning however, this game brings with it another avenue for which Toad can annoy you, it may lead to a series of expletives directed at that mushroom wearing fungi that rivals that of a good Mario Kart session.
I won’t bore you with more ramblings, I think these pictures will make you want to buy yourself a set!
That’s right guys, the next generation of Nintendo awesomeness is already on the cards and has been unveiled at e3 this year! This awesome piece of hardware should be available for us all to purchase next year some time. Not too many details have been released except for some pictures and this awesome video shared by IGN. Something to look forward to in the new year, and how about that whacky controller? Looks like a lot of fun!
E3 trailer:
This is a little bit of a follow up from my Wii Homebrew Review that I published on the main website the other day. Wii homebrew can be a great way to safely unlock your wii!
If you are interested in playing backed up games, dvd’s, mp3’s, emulators and a ton of other cool stuff on your Wii I really recommend buying this Wii homebrew kit for $30, it will be the best enhancement to your wii that you can possibly do! You could turn your wii into a multimedia center in less than 5 minutes!
The Nintendo Wii is currently one of the most popular consoles in the video game industry, with over 75 million units shipped, as of September 2010, it’s clear to see that Nintendo has come up with the goods once more. Nintendo’s history of fantastic games has been passed to the next generation in the form of a wireless controller and magnificent graphics! The Wii itself is a very powerful little computer, a 729 MHz “broadway” processor and 243 MHz ATI “Hollywood” GPU make it a very capable graphics machine.
But enough about the success and capabilities of the Nintendo Wii, we want to know what Wii Homebrew means and how it can help you. In a nutshell Wii Homebrew refers to being able to play games that have not been endorsed by Nintendo. There are freelance game developers out there making games for the Wii that you can only be played if you have a mod chip or a Wii “softmod”.
These modchips or Wii softmods are used to unlock the Nintendo Wii. This unlocking generally allows the user to play burnt or backed up games on their Wii and a variety of other things such as: Play MP3s, AVI and MP4 files. Watch DVD’s on their Wii and even load Emulators onto their Wii to play old games from the SNES, Nes, 64, Sega etc.
These days people generally go with the soft mod Wii as installing mod chips onto the console can void your warranty and can cause issues with “bricking” the Wii, which renders it unusable. Soft modding can really increase the power of your Wii however, the ability to turn your game station into a fully functional entertainment center is really a wonderful thing when it comes to entertaining and having friends over.
If you are thinking of installing a Wii homebrew on your Nintendo please make sure to read the fine print of the vendor. Always use a well established source and if possible read reviews and make sure they are legitimate and won’t harm your Wii.
